Paper and Dogwood Lanterns

My lanterns are made from locally sourced dog­wood, cut when the bark is red. The wood is waxed, drilled and fixed in place with copper wire, then covered with Japanese or Thai paper.

The candle-lit ‘House on Stilts’, 16“ x 7“ x 7” lantern is fitted with a copper coil that keeps the glass votive candle holder in place. $70

Each of the small tree ornament houses is unique, about 4”- 5” high, and fits over the lights on a Christmas tree. $15 each, made to order.
